A slow walk in Central Park to try and re-equip my body to morning sun and my limbs to moving again. It actually feels really good.

Desperately trying to hang onto that incredible positive light that comes with the intensity of the race. It certainly helped through all of the grieving. Kept my humor in check. Something about me laying on the floor with my legs up in the air makes everyone smile and gives them a distraction. I am more than happy to provide that.

But here we go. The return to the rodeo. What do I do differently? What do I take from the experiences of the last two weeks? They have truly been extraordinary. It is the methodical focus on those steps that I’m going to need now. Daily reminders. That will be a good start.
